Tresa Deal-Galloway is a motivated entrepreneur who has established over 20 years of experience in Education, Event Planning, P.R. Marketing and Fundraising. With receiving a Bachelor degree in Sociology from Madonna University, a M.A.T in Language Arts and Speech from Wayne State University and studying Higher Education at Edge Hill University in Ormskirk, England; Tresa was able to pursue her passion of educating and mentoring children and teenagers.

As an educator, Tresa worked as a teacher at the elementary school level including instruction of core curriculum for gifted and talented children in the Grosse Pointe Public School System in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She has also worked in administration for the Detroit Enterprise Academy, a public school charted by the nationally renowned National Heritage Academies.

While working within the public school system as a school administrator, Tresa saw that there was an unfortunate problem of bullying amongst the students. This problem became even more evident when she discovered that her eldest son and daughter were also both bullied in middle school. Seeing that there was a need, in March of 2018 she founded Love Laces, a bullying awareness movement that focuses on empowering young people through programming, apparel and education.

In her research, she found that children who are bullied or suffer from low self-esteem often tend to hang their heads down low. She decided to develop shoe laces brand that are uniquely inscribed with empowering affirmations. While children are looking down to the ground, Love Laces are there to help uplift. The laces symbolizes a tie of protection and the positive inscription is created as affirmation to empower them and build self-esteem. On October 6, 2018, Love Laces held its first annual Bullying Awareness Walk titled, “Walk 4 a Mile in My Shoes” that included 267 registered participants.

Tresa’s expertise in business granted her several opportunities to work with high profiled companies and public figures, which included a guest panelist on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2004. During the second term of President Obama’s presidency, Tresa was selected as Team Captain for Volunteers in the 2013 Presidential inauguration were 15,000 volunteers worked under her management. Furthering her involvement with President Obama’s campaign team, Tresa became the regional fundraising coordinators for the State of Michigan, Organizers for Action (OFA).

In heading her upscale event planning company Exquisite Affairs by Tresa, founded in 2006, she was able to work with many corporations and foundations including Comerica Bank; Keep a Child Alive Foundation with Alicia Keys as its ambassador.
